Welcome to the Berlin Teen Center
Why Do We Need A Teen Center in Berlin??
Teens in towns and small cities across the U.S. are often heard saying, "There's nothing to do." Well, in Berlin, that is no longer the case.
Teens of high school age are able to stop by the Teen Center Monday through Friday to hang out. While here, they have access to homework help, computers, games, movies, and snacks.
In addition, there are opportunities for self-improvement by way of programming which guides teens into thinking about their worldview and how they can make a difference in their community.
The Pillars
The foundation of the Teen Center is built upon four pillars: Caring, Responsibility, Honesty, and Respect. Rather than having a list of rules for the teens to follow, we have them ask themselves whether their words or actions are in agreement with the four pillars. If they are not, then they shouldn't do it.
The reason we do this is because we want to equip teens with the ability to make thoughtful decisions and to hold themselves and each other accountable for their actions. Our hope is that they will apply these pillars to their everyday lives.
If you'd like to contact the Teen Center for more info, call 603-752-1240.
