Outreach

Chaos County Organizers supports outreaches!  Vicky Campbell is the leader of a group called Random Acts of Kindness and has started the Kindness Revolution in Northern NH.  Become a fan of the Kindness Revolution on Facebook. 

This faith-based group was started in the fall of 2008. The purpose was to show people love by doing random things for them with the hope of encouraging our community. In the Bible, Acts 10:38 talks about how Jesus went about doing good and healing people. This "healing" encompasses more than physical healing alone. I believe it also includes emotional, spiritual and mental needs.

Something as simple as a smile or a hello can be an encouragement to someone having a bad day, and sometimes buying someone a coffee or letting someone go before you in the grocery line is a source of encouragement. It really doesn’t take much effort.

We chose to engage in many different types of activities as well as verbal encouragement for our community. Some of our past events have included:

• Buying breakfast for folks at the White Mt. Café
• Buying lunch for people at Quiznos
• Free Hot Chocolate giveaway outside of Walmart
• Carnation giveaway to residents of our local nursing homes and patients at the hospital
• The Dollar Drop
• The Great Gas Buy Down
• Downtown Trash Clean up
• Wake up Call (coffee)
• Popcorn giveaway at the Movies

We are looking forward to all the great events ahead! We’ll keep you posted on what’s going on and if you would like to support the mission by joining us for some events or with prayer or finances, we’d love the help. We are starting a KINDNESS REVOLUTION because attitudes won’t change if we don’t start with little acts of kindness.
